Mozart Brahms Festival
A face-off of two musical titans: Mozart - young and precociously brilliant, captured the full famut of human emotions in the light, airy musical language of the 18th century; and Brahms a century later - mature and painstaking, laboured to hew dense musical material from stone. Yet in spite of their differences, both share a deep-rooted classicism. Mozart foreshadows Brahms and Brahms echoes Mozart. Each illuminates the other, and this Festival illuminates both with orchestral, vocal, chamber and family concerts and pre-concert talks. The the NAC Orchestra has the range and suppleness to do full justice to these titans.
