Playwrights are at the very heart of theatre development. We are delighted to partner with the Canada Council for the Arts to create our Playwrights in Residence programme for the third season. Each season, we invite two playwrights of Aboriginal and culturally diverse background to join the English Theatre company.
In 2008-09, Carol Cece Anderson and Joseph A. Dandurand have agreed to become NAC Playwrights in Residence. Artists of enormous talent and vision, these two writers will participate in various projects throughout the season.
Audiences will have an opportunity to meet and chat with our Playwrights in Residence at events throughout the season.
Made possible with assistance from the Theatre Section, the Aboriginal Arts Secretariat and the Equity Office of the Canada Council for the Arts.
