Fundamental to Peter Hinton’s vision to build a relevant national theatre for Canada, is a commitment to foster the creation of and to produce new Canadian theatre and to provide meaningful professional development opportunities to Canadian artists.

The NAC English Theatre supports its commitment with a number of programmes, including Playwrights in Residence, The Ark, and The Tadoussac Playwrights Translation Colony.
